Welcome

As we progress through Term 3, the energy at Arndell Anglican College is visible. With a packed schedule of events and initiatives, there’s still plenty to look forward to as we continue to create meaningful experiences for our students.

Revamped Stage 3 Student Service Program

This term, we proudly launched our revitalised Stage 3 Student Service Program, which will run for 12 months. Our Year 5 students have been enthusiastically participating, taking on various service activities around the College. They have been diligently logging their efforts through Seesaw, and we’re thrilled to report that over 230 acts of service have already been recorded, thanks to the commitment of our Year 5 students and the Junior School Student Leadership Team.

Service is one of our College’s Core Values, and we encourage our students to find opportunities to serve both locally and globally. Whether it’s raising funds for a community project, supporting local clubs, or even sending a heartfelt letter to a friend overseas, these small acts of kindness make a big impact. We love hearing the stories of how our students are making a difference in the world.

Supporting Kiwalaa Primary School in Tanzania

Each year, our Junior School Student Leadership Team takes on a project to raise awareness and support for those in need. Last year’s ACTsion Expo was a tremendous success, leading to significant funds being raised for Camp Quality during our Colour Splash event.

This year, our focus is on Kiwalaa Primary School in Tanzania. Mrs Katie McGuren, who recently visited the school to teach English and support the Education for Kilimanjaro team, shared her experiences with us. Our Junior School Student Leaders were deeply moved by the conditions at Kiwalaa, where students and teachers face numerous challenges, including limited resources, cracked concrete and mud floors in classrooms, and inadequate healthcare options.

To support Kiwalaa, our Junior School Leaders have organised Kiwalaa Day on Thursday 19 September. On this day, we’ll be asking families to donate small stationery items that will be packed into pencil cases and sent to Tanzania with Mrs McGuren when she returns in early 2026. Keep an eye out for further communication detailing the specific items each grade can donate and the activities planned for that day. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of the students at Kiwalaa Primary School.

Our Infants and Junior School Choir Shines at Hawkesbury Eisteddfod

Our Infants students and Junior School Choir have been working tirelessly to prepare for their performances this term. This morning, they participated in the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod, where, in a unique twist, the adjudicators visited our College to judge our ensembles on-site. We’re delighted to announce that our students excelled in all their performances, showcasing their talent and hard work.

Junior School Student Welfare and Organisation

In my role overseeing Student Welfare and Organisation in the Junior School, it’s been wonderful to see our students adapting so well to recent changes in our playground spaces. We continue to monitor the new morning routine between 8:05 and 8:25 am, which has been positively received. We’ll keep you informed of any further adjustments at the end of the trial period.

At Arndell, your child’s safety and wellbeing are our top priorities, and we greatly appreciate your ongoing partnership as we strive to create an outstanding educational environment.
